• Apply mechanical engineering principles to design and maintain the company's fuzing and ordnance product lines during new product design, development, and sustain production across a multidisciplinary team.
• Supports production of existing products, working with manufacturing and quality to troubleshoot issues, document changes, and adhere to AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards.
• Provide inputs for Requests for Proposals 
• Define, maintain, and improve the department's development processes and best practices
• Serve as lead mechanical engineer, responsible for design integrity and product performance and compliance
• Drive mechanical design decisions across new product development and legacy product support
• Develop and refine mechanical designs in accordance with internal standards and customer specifications
• Perform engineering calculations and collaborate with analysts to validate designs (FEA, thermal, shock/vibration)
• Define and execute design verification strategies (shock, vibration, thermal, acceleration, etc.)

Required Software: CAD software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks NX, etc.



Required Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in mechanics, vibration, fatigue, and thermal concepts
• 5-10 years of experience in DFMA and manufacturing processes
• Active DOW Secret Security Clearance
