Perform clinical review of prescriptions, including dosage appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and patient-specific considerations. Ensure accuracy and safety throughout prescription fulfillment workflows. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, order entry teams, and other pharmacy staff to resolve prescription issues and support timely medication delivery. Provide pharmacist support and counseling to patients through phone, electronic communication, or other approved channels as needed. Maintain accurate documentation within pharmacy systems and related clinical platforms. Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, compliance activities, and medication safety programs. Support workflow improvements and maintain pharmacy quality and efficiency standards. Assist with training and mentoring pharmacy technicians and interns as assigned. Required QualificationsActive Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in Kentucky or ability to obtain quickly. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited program. Strong knowledge of pharmacy law, medication safety, and clinical pharmacology. Experience with pharmacy information systems, electronic prescribing, and prescription processing. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented pharmacy environment. Preferred Qualifications1–2+ years of pharmacist experience in retail, mail-order, specialty pharmacy, or high-volume pharmacy settings. Experience with prescription verification (PV1/PV2) workflows. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Experience supporting process improvement and quality initiatives.
